FAQ

What firms ask before they book a call.

Not the pricing questions — those live on /pricing. These are the ones about data, judgment and fit that come up first.

Data and security

Where does client data actually go?

Into Lekhya's own infrastructure, scoped to your firm. See /security for exactly where data lives, who inside the company can access it, and which certifications are and are not held today — we would rather tell you what we don't have than let you assume it.

Does a model get trained on our clients' financial data?

No. Client data is used to run your engagement, not to train a model for anyone else's.

What happens to our data if we stop using Lekhya?

Your engagement data remains exportable for the duration of your contract plus a reasonable retrieval window after. We do not hold a file hostage to force a renewal.

What the product actually does

Is this just a GSTR-2B reconciliation tool?

No. Reconciliation is one module. Lekhya runs purchase and AP testing, revenue and cut-off testing, evidence management, and working paper assembly as one engagement file — see /product for the full module list.

Does Lekhya replace the auditor's judgment?

No, and it is not designed to. Arithmetic, matching and reconciliation are computed deterministically. A model reads documents and drafts narrative. Every conclusion in the file is written and signed by a named auditor on your team. See /how-it-works for exactly what falls into each category.

What happens when a client's data is a mess?

Lekhya flags what it cannot reconcile rather than silently excluding it or forcing a false match. A genuinely unusable export still needs a human conversation with the client — the software tells you where that conversation needs to happen, faster than finding it by hand would.

Can it handle a client that isn't on Tally?

Tally is the primary integration today, since it is what most Indian mid-market clients run. If your client is on a different system, talk to us on a call before assuming it is or is not supported.

Fit and onboarding

What size firm is this actually built for?

Firms running roughly 5 to 50 audit staff and 20 to 80+ statutory audits a year on Tally-based clients. See /solutions for what changes by firm size and by role.

How long does onboarding take?

Ledger mapping and working paper template configuration happen during onboarding, not as a separate paid phase. Most firms run their first real engagement within the pilot itself — see /pricing for how the pilot works.

We already have a working paper format our reviewers are used to. Does that have to change?

Working paper templates are configured to your firm's format once at the start, not imposed from a default. The content — evidence links, tickmarks, sign-off — is standard; the layout can match what your reviewers already read.

What if we try it and it doesn't work for our client mix?

The pilot is scoped to one completed prior-year engagement precisely so this is answered before you commit a season to it. If the data turns out too incomplete for testing to run meaningfully, we tell you during the pilot and you do not pay for that engagement.
