Pricing

Priced per engagement, because that is how you bill.

Most audit software hides its price behind a form. We publish the shape and the band, so you can decide whether this is worth a conversation before you spend one.

Illustrative pricing for the current Lekhya product. The structure — per engagement, annual commitment, no implementation fee — is how every quote is built. The figures are what we price to today and may be revised as the product and the firms using it grow; a change is applied at your next renewal, never mid-contract.

This isn't a reconciliation add-on. Plenty of tools will match your GSTR-2B or flag a duplicate invoice. Lekhya runs the whole engagement — populations, testing, findings, working papers, review and sign-off, client requests, reporting — as one system your team actually works in, not a module you export results from into something else.

What changes the number

The variables, stated openly.

Nothing here is discovered after signature. If one of these applies to your firm, it will be reflected in the quote you receive on the call.

  • Engagement volume

The band you commit to. Higher volume lowers the per-engagement rate.

  • Transaction volume per file

A file with 40,000 purchase transactions costs more to process than one with 1,200.

  • Modules enabled

Firms that only need purchase testing and GST reconciliation pay less than firms using everything.

  • Document volume

Extraction from scanned documents is the most expensive part of the pipeline.

Illustrative engagement scenario

Cost per engagement against hours recovered

The honest way to evaluate this is not against another software licence. It is against what an additional senior costs, and against the engagements you decline in October because there is no one left to staff them. Below is a hypothetical worked example, not a measured result — we have no completed pilot to report yet, and we will not publish a saving we have not observed.

Manual workflow

Export the population, select a sample, vouch each invoice, reconcile evidence by hand, draft the exceptions, assemble the working paper — roughly 30–35 staff-hours for one purchase-testing procedure on a mid-sized manufacturing client.

Lekhya workflow

Upload the population, apply the procedure, review the exceptions it returns, trace each one to its evidence, review the drafted working paper — the matching and reconciliation run against the full population rather than a sample, so the staff time left is review and judgement, not preparation.

Illustrative only: if the manual preparation above takes 32 staff-hours and the repetitive share of it — sampling, vouching, reconciling — accounts for roughly three-quarters of that time, automating it leaves approximately 8 staff-hours of review. That arithmetic is ours; it is not a customer’s reported result.

Questions

The things firms ask before the call.

Why per engagement rather than per seat?

Because a seat licence penalises exactly the wrong thing. In October you want every article in the system; in June you want three people in it. Per-seat pricing makes firms ration access during the season when access matters most. You bill your clients per engagement, so we price the same way.

What counts as one engagement?

One audited entity for one financial year. A group with four subsidiaries audited separately is four engagements. Re-opening a file after sign-off does not create a new one.

Is there a minimum commitment?

An annual commitment to a band of engagements, chosen by you. If you exceed the band, additional engagements are charged at the same per-engagement rate rather than pushing you into a higher tier mid-year.

What happens if the data is unusable?

If a client's Tally data or documents turn out to be too incomplete for testing to run meaningfully, we will tell you during the pilot and you do not pay for that engagement. We would rather lose one file than have you conclude the product does not work.

Do you charge for implementation?

No separate implementation fee. Ledger mapping and working paper format configuration are part of onboarding. If your firm needs bespoke methodology work beyond that, we will quote it before starting.

What does the pilot cost?

A fixed fee for one completed prior-year engagement, credited in full against your first year if you proceed. The figure is confirmed on the call once we know the size of the file.
