Free tool
Reconcile your cash book against the bank statement, free.
Drop in both CSVs. See what's matched by amount and date, and what's genuinely outstanding on each side — the actual BRS, not a line-by-line manual tie-out.

Bank statement export
What this does and doesn't do
- Both files are read entirely in your browser and never uploaded anywhere.
- It matches on amount within a 15-day window, since cheques and deposits take time to clear. It doesn't confirm the actual clearing date or track an outstanding item forward to the next period — that needs the full BRS working paper.
How to use this
Export your cash book and bank statement as CSV
Both need a date and an amount column — the tool matches on amount within a 15-day window.
Upload both files
Order doesn't matter.
Review "outstanding in the cash book" first
These are normally cheques issued or deposits made that haven't cleared yet — confirm they clear next period, don't assume it.
Investigate anything outstanding in the bank only
Usually a bank charge or auto-debit never recorded in the books — this typically needs a journal entry.
This free tool, and where it stops
This free tool checks
- Matching cash book and bank entries by amount and a date window
- What's outstanding on each side
A full engagement in Lekhya also checks
- Confirming actual clearing dates against subsequent statements
- Carrying forward genuinely outstanding items with evidence
- Cross-checking unusually large or aged outstanding items as part of subsequent events review
- Continuous reconciliation every period
One run, one file, four or five rules — versus every procedure a real engagement needs, run continuously against the full population, with every exception linked to its source document.
