Free tool
Reconcile your purchase register against GSTR-2B, free.
Drop in both CSVs. See in seconds which invoices are missing on either side, and which matched invoices disagree on amount — before you decide what to claim this period.
Purchase register
GSTR-2B export
What this does and doesn't do
- Both files are read entirely in your browser and never uploaded anywhere.
- It matches on invoice number and GSTIN only. It doesn't check tax rate, place of supply, or whether a mismatch is a genuine timing difference versus a real exposure — that needs the full reconciliation workflow.
How to use this
Export both files as CSV
Your purchase register from your accounting system, and the GSTR-2B export from the GST portal — both need an invoice number and a GSTIN column.
Upload both
Order doesn't matter — the tool matches on invoice number and GSTIN once both are loaded.
Start with "missing in 2B"
These are usually just late vendor filing, but check a few against the vendor's own GSTR-1 history before assuming that for all of them.
Check amount mismatches on matched invoices separately
These are often a tax-component posting difference, not a real discrepancy — recompute before treating any as an exception.
This free tool, and where it stops
This free tool checks
- Matching on invoice number and GSTIN
- Invoices missing on either side
- Amount mismatches on matched invoices
A full engagement in Lekhya also checks
- Tax rate and place-of-supply verification
- Blocked-credit checks under Section 17(5)
- Vendor filing-history lookups to distinguish late filing from real non-filing
- Continuous reconciliation every period, not a one-time upload
One run, one file, four or five rules — versus every procedure a real engagement needs, run continuously against the full population, with every exception linked to its source document.
